Privacy Policy
The short version
Your memories, letters, and personal data are private. We don't sell them. We don't read them. We don't show ads. Twine exists to serve you and your partner — not advertisers.
What we collect
- Account information: Email address, first name, and password (hashed — we never store plain text passwords).
- Content you create: Memories, letters, milestones, question answers, and photos you upload.
- Usage data: Basic logs (page visits, errors) for debugging. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.
- Payment data: Processed entirely by Razorpay. We store only your subscription status — never your card details.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not read your letters or memories.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use tracking pixels or third-party ad networks.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
How we store your data
Your data is stored on secured servers in India. Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Access to your couple space is restricted to you and your partner only.
Your rights
- Export: Download all your data at any time from Settings.
- Delete: Permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → Danger Zone.
- Correct: Update your information anytime from Settings.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. If you choose "Remember me," we store a secure authentication token cookie for 30 days. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
- Razorpay: Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
- Brevo (Sendinblue): Transactional emails only (welcome, password reset, notifications). We do not share your data with them beyond what is necessary to deliver emails.
- Google Fonts: Loaded on public pages. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 24 hours. Backups may retain data for up to 7 days after deletion.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email and update the date above. Continued use of Twine after changes constitutes acceptance.
